One of the Most Traditional and Authentic Villages in Ibiza, Es Cubells
Es Cubells is a small novel-like village that unfolds around a central traditional white Ibicencan church –– gracefully perched on the cliffside. Here, just in front, a charming square takes position and embraces the essence of a typical Ibizan living. There are only two cosy local bars with genuine character and an authentic menu, a modest grocery store, and a humble cultural centre that reflects the village’s heritage. Adding a small children’s park completes the scene, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and community.
The Central White Chapel and Convent, Es Cubells Ibiza
As the only landmark in the village, the Church of Sant Francesc de Paola is commonly known as the Chapel of Es Cubells. This small, white chapel upholds many of its original and authentic traditions, including The Teresa Sisters Convent, and offers a tranquil place for visitors to explore and appreciate.
Es Cubells Panoramic Sea Views and Secluded Beaches
Es Cubells village has been least likely affected by seasonal tourism and still remains relatively quiet even in the height of the season. However, with stunning cliff-top panoramic sea views running from Cap Llentrisca to Formentera, Es Cubells is becoming increasingly popular for regular visitors –– especially for luxury weddings and secluded tourism.
The coastline of Es Cubells is minimalist, with a few small fishermen’s coves, including Es Cubells Beach, Ses Boques, Cala Llentrisca, Es Torrent and Porroig. Due to the typical cliff edge, these tiny cobbled beaches are completely natural, with gravel sands and crystal waters that are as inviting for warm summer swims as they are for deep-water snorkelling.
