Both commercial airlines and the general travel industry have been immensely impacted across the globe due to the effects of COVID-19. However, significant trends in the private jet industry and the luxury travel sector have actually demonstrated relatively positive impressions.
COVID-19 is subsequently changing the way those with disposable incomes view and approach travel today. Previously, flying privately was considered a grand experience, perhaps even unnecessary, even for those who have the finances to grant it. But, with COVID-19, flying privately has become a valuable asset, moving away from 1st class or business commercial flights directly into fractional ownership, full ownership and jet charter travel through private aircraft.
Similarly, whilst the rest of the world has experienced a halt in the travel industry related to hotels, package deals, rentals and holiday destination accommodation, the luxury travel sector in Ibiza has followed the same trend of increase. The interest in travel both through private means of transportation, luxury holiday villas for tourism purposes, as well as those seeking to purchase a new overseas-home, in a more natural environment, away from the inconveniences of the large metropoles, has in fact grown during the health crisis.
The company Global Jet have experienced first-hand the rapid movement in the private jet sector since the pandemic and have been working behind the scenes to ensure their services are at the very top of their industry. We are happy to introduce Global Jet to you as one of our partners and share some of their services that await you.
Global Jet has begun the summer 2021 by launching a brand-new website in English. A French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese version will be shortly available as well. It has been designed with a modern and new look with more functionalities and with more interactivities.
All Global Jet services are highlighted in an intuitive way where the end-user can easily understand their philosophy, high standards and activities.
The Charter & Brokerage side of the company has been highlighted through the website and gives the users the opportunity to directly request charter quotes online. From very light, mid-size and long-range jets, right through to VIP airliners, all aircraft are listed and are available for rent. Their dedicated brokers will find precisely what you are looking for at the best price available.
Users will discover Global Jet’s touch by seeing professional photos of aircraft’s, 3D virtual tours, videos, floorplans, range maps and other new functionalities.
The Aircraft Sales & Acquisitions page will allow a better search of the aircraft thanks to the new filter functionalities (Year, Price, Manufacturer). Moreover, the Aircraft Sale Process and Aircraft Acquisition Process are highlighted in order to bring full transparency to the client.
Furthermore, Global Jet has been very active in the development and implementation of their new brand identity.
Charter & Brokerage
Global Jet’s brokers are trained to find the most competitive flight solutions to fit your needs, while putting your safety first. No matter where you are in the world, a Global Jet specialist will be on hand to offer local knowledge on everything 24/7.
In the first semester 2021, Global Jet was proud to announce the latest additions to the charter fleet, a Falcon 2000LXS (based in Madrid) and a Global Express XRS. The Global Express XRS is designed to welcome 14 passengers with optimum comfort. The private jet is divided into three large zones, offering guests a maximum level of functionalities, luxury and relaxation.
Furthermore, the second semester of 2021 is promising with already 3 new aircraft in the pipeline for commercial operation.
A new web-cloud-based aviation software (LEON) has been implemented in the Charter & Brokerage team in order to gain efficiency and to support flight operations and scheduling. This new program will enable the sales, crews and operation teams to be even more reactive towards the clients and by always finding them the best solution regarding their needs. This tool streamlines and centralizes into one process the tasks from the different departments involved in booking and executing a flight. This allows the teams to process flight requests and answer questions swiftly with a high level of accuracy. Clients will also have access to the tool to monitor the state of their flights or flight requests, avoiding the need to wait for an answer. This new software is a significant added value for the company. Moreover, Global Jet has invested heavily these past 6 months into upgrading the LEON software to its specific requirements where they also introduced new accurate route calculation features where clients will benefit from.
Aircraft Management
Today Global Jet counts more than 70 aircraft under their fleet and about 10 aircraft in the pipeline, including a BBJ, a Falcon 7X, a Challenger 300 and a brand-new Gulfstream 650ER. Global Jet’s growth doesn’t stop there, since the beginning of the year 2021, they have already entered in their fleet a Global Express XRS (also for commercial operation), a Gulfstream 550, a Global 6500 and a Global 7500.
They continue to expand and enlarge their fleet with new types of aircraft. Even though 2020 / 2021 were tough years following COVID-19, they remain solid and have shown stable growth.
Aircraft Sales & Acquisitions
The market has picked up strongly this year 2021. At least we can say that the Aircraft Sales have been successful for the company in the past few months. In terms of sales, just to mention a few, three Global 6000, a Falcon 900DX Easy, a Falcon 2000LX, an Airbus ACJ318 ELITE, a Gulfstream 450 and a Legacy 650 have been recently sold thanks to the company’s expertise and the proactive and dedicated sales team. A number of transactions continue in the sales pipeline with the aim of completing the deals before the end of the year. Following this positive and ascending phase, Global Jet has managed to achieve new aircraft sale mandates including the most recent ones – a Global 6000 and a 2020 Global 6500 off-market. Two exceptional aircraft with low hours.
Aircraft sales also launched a new look across their marketing collateral, including advertising and aircraft specifications. The main purpose of the change was to further reinforce their high level of service, innovation, professionalism and is aligned with the new website identity.
Finally, in terms of Aircraft Acquisitions, Global Jet has acquired in the past few months a Pilatus PC24, a Global 5000, a Global 6000 and a brand-new Challenger 350 with a delivery in 2022.
Design & Completion Management
Once again, Global Jet confirms its leading position in the niche market of wide body completion management projects. In December 2020, a Boeing B787 was successfully delivered. This complex project was entirely managed by Global Jet from design coordination to the completion supervision at Lufthansa Technique to the final delivery to the client.
Furthermore, to continue on this ascending phase, they have also effectively delivered a VVIP Airbus 320 in February 2021 and are planning to finalize the completion and delivery of another VVIP Boeing B787 by December 2021.
These achievements are another milestone for Global Jet!
Operations
Global Jet has recently (Autumn 2020) obtained the Aruban AOC (P4) for commercial operation. The process of obtaining this AOC was very intense and the level requested was above any standard they have previously experienced. This achievement further demonstrates their high level of performance and is another added value for their clients. Today, Global Jet already has three aircraft under the Aruban AOC including an ACJ330 VIP, ACJ319 and B737 Cargo.
Their success doesn’t stop there, Global Jet is also proud to announce the obtention of their Polar route Approval for Global Jet Aruba. In fact, they are the first and only operator in Aruba and one of the few business jet operators in the world to hold and perform polar route operations, which helps to significantly reduce flight times! This means that they can fly straight over the North Pole and therefore optimize flight plans.
Global Jet continues to expand, 2021 is filled with new and interesting projects that will be shared during the year. Stay tuned for more…
