What’s on in Ibiza this Summer 2022

All of a sudden, everything got a lot more exciting! Travel vaccination passports and health tests are no longer required for entry into Spain, you do not have to wear a mask in most circumstances, dancing is finally allowed, and everyone’s smiling. Ibiza is back to being as vibrant as ever, and it feels awesome.

Last month’s International Music Summit (IMS), which provides panels for the electronic music industry gave the feeling that this year is destined to be bigger and better all around. You can literally sense it in the air, everyone is ready for Ibiza 2022, and the tourism industry is already in full bloom.

Summer 2022, Ibiza is the perfect place to be if you’re looking for a vacation with a great atmosphere and pure freedom. Besides the nightclubs opening for the first time in two years, the island also offers a variety of cultural activities, natural landscapes, and of course, some wonderful places to eat, so let’s see what Ibiza has to offer in 2022.

Ibiza summer 2022: IMS Ibiza 2022

Ibiza nightclubs are open – get your party event calendar

Ibiza’s nightclub scene has already begun its opening season two weeks earlier than usual, with venues such as Ushuaia, Pacha, and being the first to kick-off following the IMS 2022 finale. Ibiza is set to have its longest clubbing season to date, which could extend as far as November. And, of course, this year’s line-ups are looking to be of an excellent standard too!

If you want to keep on top of your Ibiza party schedule, you can take a look at the Ibiza Spotlight event calendar, which has day-by-day updates on all clubs and DJs, with ticket and VIP table information. Updates are made constantly throughout the season so be sure to keep checking in.

If you like a little party but attending large-scale clubs is too intense, then check out the latest nightclub from Las Dalias, Akasha.  Open from Friday through until Sunday until 5 am, the club hosts a more relaxed atmosphere where its concept intends to generate a community spirit among the people who visit.

The classic things to do in Ibiza – things that you won’t want to miss

There is no shortage of cultural classics to experience in Ibiza and those that never go out of fashion either. The famous Las Dalias Hippy Market is always a popular island tourist attraction and home to more than 200 stalls, selling handmade clothes, jewelry, and home decor that can be enjoyed casually roaming around over drinks and freshly baked pizza or street food – all while listening to live music and local DJ’s in their tranquil psychedelic setting. Additionally, the San Juan Hippy Market is a great experience that is known to attract a more authentic crowd with locals and tourists alike flocking out into the streets to enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning.

Perhaps you prefer to stay away from the crowds and be out on the open waters enjoying mother nature at her finest. Well, in every case a day out at sea will never disappoint. There are a number of experienced boat charter companies based in Ibiza, from where you can create your own day trips, using a qualified and knowledgeable skipper, and set sail to explore all the hidden beaches, coves, and unique spots the island has to offer. There is no doubt in our minds that it is worth considering planning a trip to Tagomago and Formentera, two of our favourite neighbouring islands. We recommend checking out our collaborator Say Yachting, a low-emission boat and yacht charter company on the island that supports our ethos for sustainability.

The top recommended dining experiences in Ibiza

The majority of vacationers in Ibiza enjoy luxurious and relaxing Mediterranean evenings with great food and a few nights out to let their hair down. With elegant sea and sunset views, open-air rooftop terraces, and some excellent concept cuisine, there is no shortage of incredibly stylish restaurants to choose from.

Besides the usual favourites like Amante, Bambuddha, and Cotton Beach Club, Ibiza has seen an influx of some great new restaurants and bars opening in a variety of locations around the island.

Under Michelin Star (12) Chef, Martin Berasategui the BLESS Hotel takes guests on a gastronomic journey at the new Etxeko Ibiza. The ultimate dining experience that celebrates the joys of dining, the ancient flavours of San Sebastián, and the most sublime products of the Cantabrian Sea and the Mediterranean.

LayLah Ibiza is a restaurant and lounge bar, combining food, music, heart and soul, where globally inspired flavours are showcased through a menu of sharing plates featuring dishes such as roasted cauliflower with tahini & green chilli, fresh grilled artichokes with Parmesan, spiced chicken crispy cigars, and white fish skewer with ginger & lime salsa.

Last but not least, we recommend Boodiou Ibiza, a cocktail bar and French restaurant in the heart of Ibiza Town, serving fine dining and enriched sharing plates of French cuisine.  Artfully decorated with contemporary pieces and decorations, this small boutique restaurant will not disappoint.

Your best Ibiza summer starts here – book your perfect Ibiza holiday rental villa

Keep yourself in the loop with our travel COVID-19 updates

We are so happy to announce that masks for COVID-19 are required only at health-care facilities, such as hospitals, for workers, visitors, and patients, and on public transportation, such as by air, bus, or boat, where a distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained.

The use of masks is still recommended for those who have been exposed to COVID-19 in situations where prolonged contact less than 1.5 meters away may occur, as well as during mass events and celebrations where the participants may be vulnerable.

As it currently stands Spain has no travel entry requirements such as vaccination passports or mandatory health tests.  A passenger locator form is still applicable for all tourists entering the Balearic Islands.

Buying a Property in San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia), Ibiza 2022

San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia) is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning natural scenery, charming villages, celebrity hotspots, and a diverse choice of property opportunities and lifestyle options. In addition to its picturesque landscape, natural parks, lively communities, and plenty of upscale living, the municipality is also located close to the capital city of the island, Eivissa.

So, whether you’re seeking a luxury lifestyle vacation villa or an investment property in the south, or you prefer the tranquillity of the countryside, the authenticity of the villages, or a family-friendly property in the west – San José really has something for everyone.

Why not read on to find which area of San José might be right for you to buy a property in Ibiza this 2022?

Life in San José Villages, Ibiza

There are three main villages in the municipality itself: San José, San Agustin, and Es Cubells.

Boasting unique charm, local community, and a family-friendly atmosphere, San José is one of the most popular villages on the island. The typical Ibicencan town offers a number of convenient amenities, such as vibrant restaurants all year round, supermarkets, souvenir gift shops, boutiques, and fashion stores.

Secondly, the idyllic village of Sant Agustí boasts endless views of vineyards and the surrounding countryside, making it both an architecturally impressive and peaceful setting. Sant Agustí lies on the border between San Antonio and San José, providing easy access to all the local shops, supermarkets, and restaurants, which is necessary since the village itself hosts only a few stores. Due to the very same reason, Benimussa’s countryside location, with its panorama of outstanding beauty, is highly desirable to those seeking a secluded country atmosphere and a life of authenticity.

    Sant Agustí, Ibiza

Lastly, is Es Cubells – Ibiza’s smallest village. Even though this village crosses over with the client appeal of the south, it still offers a unique traditional culture. The village itself consists only of a white Ibicencan church and two bars nearby. A magical and extraordinary spot dotted with little coves and beaches close by, such as Ses Boques, Cala Llentrisca, Es Torrent, Porroig, and the Cala d’Hort Natural Park with its famous Es Vedra island.

Buying a Property in San José Villages, Ibiza

San José’s main village attracts property buyers that are typically families with permanent residences or those looking for second homes during the summer. Buyers here are often drawn to the village’s authenticity, which is reflected also in its style of properties.

Clientele looking to buy a property in Sant Augusti (or Benimussa) tend to also be families and younger couples who are often searching for traditional fincas and Mediterranean-style villas with expansive grounds, plenty of outdoor living opportunities, and occasionally the potential to cultivate their own land.

Although a small, traditional village, properties in the village of Es Cubells feature more exclusive-style modern villas with spectacular views of the sea. It is no secret that the Cala d’Hort beach and the surrounding area of Es Cubells have the best views of Es Vedrà, one of the most desired requirements for luxury home buyers, which makes Es Cubells more than just a village lifestyle location.

    Cala d’Hort Ibiza
    Cala d’Hort, Ibiza

Life in the South of San José, Ibiza

The most popular area for buyers with money to invest is undoubtedly Ses Salines, Cala Jondal, or as previously mentioned, Es Cubells. These up-market locations all offer easy access to the unspoiled countryside, Ibiza Town, and the island’s most popular beaches, as well as fashionable bars and restaurants frequented by A-list celebrities like Sa Trinxa and El Chiringuito, the famous Blue Marlin Ibiza Beach Club. These southern Ibiza spots are viewed as the finest and most attractive spots for lifestyle vacationers to enjoy an exclusive VIP status.

    El Chiringuito, Ibiza

Buying a Property in the South of San José, Ibiza

In most cases, the properties sought in the south of San José are meant to serve as luxury second homes or as investment rental homes. The vast majority of the exclusive properties in the area of Ses Salines have panoramic views of the sea. Property buyers who are able to find a property here have the distinction of living in a very up-market and affluent area, which is almost unmatched anywhere else in Ibiza. Due to low supply and the nature reserve status protected by law against new builds, properties for sale in this region are in high demand, and acquiring one is very difficult.

Life in the West of San José, Ibiza

Located on the west coast of San José are two popular beach resort areas, Cala Tarida and Cala Conta. Both are well known for their popularity with tourists every season, yet these beautiful spots are immensely visited throughout the entire year by locals in order to enjoy the glorious beaches on offer, full of pure white sand and turquoise waters with breathtaking sunset views. During the peak season, the area is a hive of activity, with a multitude of hotels, restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions, such as the Cotton Beach Club Ibiza, Sunset Ashram Beach Bar, and the ecological chiringuito, Cala Escondida.

Buying a Property in the West of San José, Ibiza

For those interested in buying a property here for tourism rentals or a second vacation home in Ibiza, the west is one of the best choices. This family-friendly area offers a variety of renovated and modernised villas and apartments with stunning views of the landscape, the sea, and some of the best sunsets on the island.

Why is Ibiza a great place to buy a property for investment?

In general, buying property has always been a reliable investment. Of course, it does involve numerous factors and variables. But, one thing is for sure, you’ll certainly have a better chance of getting a decent return if you buy a property in a location that’s highly valuable and sought-after.

Ibiza has been a safe choice for property investment for quite some time now, mostly because of its idyllic location and its ongoing high demand for properties. Whether you are looking to buy a second home, a villa for tourism rental purposes, or you are interested in your own renovation or an early project phase property – as the current market stands, purchasing a home in Ibiza will make for a secure future return of investment.

Read on to find out why we are optimistic about the real estate property market in Ibiza, and what investment opportunities are available here.

Why invest in a property in Ibiza – the general property market

Over the past decade, both sales and house prices have shown continual and stable growth across the Balearic Islands. It was not until late 2019 and into early 2020 that house prices and sales started to fall for the very first time since the start of the financial crisis in 2007. This suggested the beginning of a minor stagnation that later increased due to the circumstances of COVID-19.

buying a property Balearic Island Price curve

However, from early 2020 through to the end of 2021 we saw buyer activity quickly thrive again, with property sales continuing to rise across the whole of the Balearics. It was more than evident in Ibiza, as you can see from our end-of-year property market report 2021 that a surge of numbers and growth in the second-home international real estate market was occurring. People’s priorities were changing due to COVID-19, and living among beauty and nature, away from the big cities became increasingly more appealing. The high-end property market in Ibiza continues to be a magnet for second-home buyers. After the initial sales spike of 2021, things have marginally slowed down as the post-pandemic effect has worn off, but the fact remains that demand for properties still continues to far exceed the number of sellers on the market, thus resulting in a strong and unwavering price curve.

        Casa Sunny Vadella

Buying a Property in Ibiza with a Touristic Rental License

In Ibiza, there are many people who wish to buy a villa to rent out for tourism purposes. Despite this, it is not as simple as many would believe. Not every property in Ibiza can legally be rented out to tourists for short-term holidays. Those who wish to proceed with renting their property will need a final tourist license. And, any application for a tourist license must satisfy a strong set of requirements. For more information on obtaining a rental license in Ibiza including the current legal requirements and the application process, see the article on Tourist Rentals in 2021 by Ibicasa.

Finding a property to buy in Ibiza with a current tourist license is more than ideal. You will already have all the application processes complete and the legal certificate in place, and, what’s more, there are likely to be existing regular tourism customers who are ready to come back to this same property and book their holidays year after year. This is alongside the possibility of already having a professional property agent and management team in place who are doing a great job.

If you’re keen to find a great property with a rental license then check out this tastefully renovated and upgraded 4-bedroom house, located in a very peaceful and secluded area. Casa Sunny Vadella is perfectly located within walking distance of the local beach, Cala Vadella – which is known for its child-friendly atmosphere and a wide range of pleasant beach restaurants. This property has already been certified with a final rental license which makes it a top investment.

Alternatively, Penthouse Olea Cala Llonga is another great tourist license property that offers an attractive investment opportunity in Ibiza. Within steps of the beautiful beach and local resort of Cala Llonga, this penthouse apartment is the most sought-after property within the apartment complex due to its large and spacious floor plan and ideal orientation within the complex. It’s the only apartment with three terraces, two on the main floor and one on the rooftop. This property comes fully furnished and with a management company that looks after the rentals and regular bookings. An excellent investment opportunity.

        Cas Figueroa

Buying an authentic property in Ibiza for a renovation project

It is becoming more and more difficult to find older, authentic properties now in Ibiza that can be renovated and re-sold with good returns on investment. A few years back, this was a great option with many more properties readily available. Now, it is becoming harder to find this type of property with the potential to create a modern boutique-style home and gain a decent return. But, of course, it is still possible if you employ the support and expertise of a good estate agent who knows the market well and can advise the right construction teams to employ for such projects.

Cas Figueroa is an outstanding traditional Ibizan Finca with two guest apartments.  The perfect property investment opportunity for a renovation that has the potential to a beautiful modern-authentic style home. Located between San Rafael and Ibiza Town, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with a 60 m2 pool, this quaint setting is a wonderful opportunity for a renovation property project.

        Casa con proyecto Portinatx

Buying a Property in Ibiza during ‘off-plan’ or during the ‘project phase’

There is also the option of purchasing a property off-plan or when the project is still in the development phase, where you then would continue to build the home yourself. If you have time, patience, and passion on your side, there is a good chance that you can save quite a bit of money too, making for a great investment opportunity. Further, this kind of property can also be resold with a bit of a profit margin, or leased on a long-term basis, excluding short-term holiday rentals. As we previously mentioned, obtaining a tourism license encounters a strong set of requirements, and new build properties must wait 5 years before they can apply for tourist rental licenses, and it can still prove challenging even after that.

Casa Con Proyecto Portinatx is a two-house property with a project license, located in Portinatx, at the northern point of the island, on the second line of the beach. Located on a plot of 1.000m2 with a permit approved in January 2020, the property can be expanded and modified to a total of 399 m2. The project takes into account all the conveniences of modern living and places a living room, kitchen, pantry, and laundry on the ground level. There is also a basement and a garage. There is space outside to build a swimming pool and chill-out area, so all in all, this is a great investment opportunity for anyone looking to start their own building project.

Buying a property in Ibiza for investment

Ibiza in general is a very good market to invest in, being stable and safe, especially for long-term investment and ongoing increase in property value. There are often some really great investment opportunities here. But as the demand is almost always higher than the supply if the perfect investment property is not already on the market, then actively registering yourself with the right agent as early as possible comes highly recommended. This way, as soon as the right investment opportunity property becomes available that is suited to your personal requirements, you’re ready to get the process started as soon as possible.

A truly exceptional woman has left us…

Dear clients, collaborators and friends of Prestige,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the passing of our beloved founder and director Pascale Dufournier. On Friday April 1st, she succumbed to cancer after battling it for months. We have lost a wonderful person who was the very heart and soul of this company that we love.

As a young woman Pascale followed her dreams by coming to Ibiza from Paris in 1976. Her passion for design, elegance and the island that she loved, led to the creation of Prestige Properties in 1983. That instinct to follow her heart has been an inspiration for all of us who have been privileged to be part of her Prestige family. At her core, Pascale always remained that young girl with big dreams, a big heart and the courage to live life to the fullest.

Pascale will always be remembered for the many beautiful qualities that she brought to her life and her work – generosity, a caring way of being, an unparalleled sense of style and humour, a joyful zest for life, and her love for Ibiza – ever and always the island of her dreams. She was devoted to sharing her joy with family, friends, and those of us who were fortunate enough to be part of the very personal company that she founded and nurtured. As Pascale often said, "Prestige has never been work to me, it has been my family."

We have lost a partner, a leader, a friend, a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a daughter, and a sister. She will be so, so deeply missed. And yet her presence will always be with us, in our lives and at Prestige. Her enduring values of love and gratitude will guide us, and her passionate vision will inspire us. These are the gifts that Pascale has passed on to us as we look to the future and continue our journey together with you, our clients, collaborators and friends.

            Very truly yours,

            Víctor and Team Prestige

                Santa Eulalia del Río Promenade

Life in Santa Eulalia del Río Town Centre

The town of Santa Eulalia del Río offers one beautiful relaxing strip of golden sand and turquoise waters perfectly complemented by a range of contemporary bars and great restaurants, as well as a buzzing seafront promenade, and an abundance of yachts and sailboats from its Marina Port.

The town itself has seen an up-market makeover since 2019 which is quickly competing against its more affluent counterparts, such as Talamanca, Ibiza Town, and Marina Botafoch. New and exciting places have arrived, boosting a casual cosmopolitan lifestyle for both locals and tourists. You’ll find a variety of trending places here, including restaurants like the VE-Cafe, and the award-winning coffee shop Meke Cafe Spanish Specialty Coffee Roasters. Recent new outlets to hit the scene since late 2021 include Pepita, Higo, and WOM (Word of Mouth – Radio Cafe) which are among the most appealing latest additions with their great atmosphere, global cuisine menus and regular socialites. Furthermore, the new W Hotel and Aguas de Ibiza continue to provide the town with a 5-star luxury experience over the summer, strengthening the area’s high-end expectations and attracting affluent tourism.

From retail to food, yoga and pilates studios, watersport and boating activities, and those old-time favourite authentic local spots, Santa Eulalia Town really has it all.

Buying a Property in Santa Eulalia del Río, Ibiza

Buying a property in Santa Eulalia del Río Town can offer anything from traditional whitewashed architectural homes to modern villas and some of the most sought-after newly built apartments on the island. The mountain of Siesta may also be of interest with hillside properties overlooking the town, Marina Port and the turquoise Balearic Sea at particularly attractive prices, for those seeking properties with spectacular sea views.

Life in Santa Eulalia Villages: San Carlos, Santa Gertrudis & Jesús, Ibiza

For a little less hustle and bustle, Santa Eulalia also has three charming villages to choose from, each with its very own unique stamp and character. San Carlos, the closest to Santa Eulalia’s main town is known for its cultural heritage and community spirit. Once an important meeting place and residence for hippies during the 60s and 70s, this wonderful village is now a picturesque place offering a vibrant local community and iconic spots such as Bar Anita and the island’s biggest hippie market, Las Dalias. The village is surrounded by outstanding countryside, offering residents and visitors a more peaceful and authentic way of life.

Next, the picture-perfect and charming Santa Gertrudis is the second closest village to Santa Eulalia’s main town. This architecturally perfected village features a newly remodelled main square and a white and yellow central church which coordinates excellently with the houses and apartments that surround it. The village is home to a mix of modern cafes, pizzerias, fine dining restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries, as well as being incredibly convenient for those wishing to access both the public and private schools, including the renowned Morna International College.

Lastly, Jesús, a small yet extremely cosmopolitan village situated slightly farther afield, is known for its easy access to Ibiza Town as well as its proximity to summer hotspots like Destino, Marina Botafoch, and Pacha. All year long, Jesús is filled with life and atmosphere especially on the weekends due to its popularity with local residents, booming coffee culture and weekly artisan farmers’ market. The area is also incredibly popular among tourists during the height of the season due to its renowned high-class gastronomic and nightlife opportunities including Sa Punta, Patchwork, Ginger, and Chambao at the luxurious Nobu Ibiza Bay Hotel

Buying a Property in Santa Eulalia Villages

Homes for sale in San Carlos, Santa Gertrudis and Jesús offer a wide range of styles and locations. In Jesús, there are several exclusive cliff-top properties. These properties can often be found within three of five private communities of Santa Eularia des Riu, which include Cap Martinet, Can Rimbau and Can Pep Simo. However, due to the location and high-end tourist appeal, buying a property in Jesús comes with a very high price tag compared to the rest of the municipality.

On the other hand, the villages of San Carlos and Santa Gertrudis predominantly present different styles of property, which are commonly sought after by families looking for country lifestyle homes in idyllic settings including renovation projects or remodelled fincas, farmhouses, and modernised authentic villas.

Life in Santa Eulalia Beach Resorts, Ibiza

In addition to the 300m-long white sandy beach of Santa Eulalia Town, beautiful nearby beaches and charming resorts can also be found along the coastline, including Cala Pada, Playa Niu Blau, Cala Martina, Es Cana, Cala Nova, Cala Llenya, Cala Mastella, Cala Boix, Pou des Lleó, Es Figueral, Aguas Blancas in the north and Cala Llonga, Cala Olivera and Cala Bonita towards the South. Here there is a sense of peace and tranquillity in these smaller residential locations, accompanied by an intimate local community during the winter and a vibrant atmosphere and excitement during the summer.

Though these areas are particularly reserved in the off-season, they have a completely different appeal during the summer with venues such as the Bless Hotel, a variety of luxurious beach clubs like Babylon Beach, Aiyanna Beach Club, Atzaro Beach Restaurant, and Chiringuito, and the VIP Amante Ibiza Beach Club in Cala Llonga, creating a very desirable area for many tourists visiting the island.

Cala Nova Ibiza in Santa Eulalia del Rio municipality

Buying a Property in Santa Eulalia’s Beach Resorts

Santa Eulalia’s beach resorts offer many well-positioned homes within walking distance of the local beaches and coastal paths. The most popular property choices are located near Cala Llonga, giving buyers quick access to the cosmopolitan village of Jesús and the private urbanisation with its very own golf course, Roca Llisa. Here, you can find a selection of property styles ranging from apartments to detached family homes and large exclusive villas, all suitable for young couples, families, and buy-to-rent clients seeking a local community and a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle at a more affordable price.

Living in Ibiza: Life in Las Salinas

With countless natural wonders, staggering scenery, a World Heritage Site, top trending beaches, and an array of fashionable bars and restaurants – it is no wonder that Las Salinas is one of the most sought-after and regularly visited areas in Ibiza.

Noted for its ecological value and UNESCO World Heritage Site, ‘The Natural Park of Ses Salines d’Eivissa and Formentera’ comprises protected marine life, rare bird species, fascinating sea salt flats, and two immensely beautiful beaches, Las Salinas Beach and Es Cavallet.

The Natural Park & Salt Flats

In 1995, Ses Salines of Ibiza and Formentera was declared a natural reserve and in 2001, a natural park. The area extends from the most southern tip of Ibiza to the north of Formentera and includes the sea channel separating the two islands. Spanning across 3.000 hectares of land and 13.000 hectares of water, the national park is home to 210 different bird species and 178 plant species. The sea represents the highest proportion of the park’s total area and is an exceptional space due to the dense prairies of oceanic Posidonia (seagrass) meadows, important endangered wildlife found only in the Mediterranean.

You can enjoy everything natural here from the beautiful beaches, tiny coves, salt flats, wetlands, dunes, and forests. For bird lovers, there are literally hundreds of birds to observe, including Flamingos and Black-necked Storks.

Why not pop by the visitor centre in San Jose, or visit IbizaPreservation for more information on the park’s conservation projects.

The Beaches: Las Salinas & Es Cavallet

Both Las Salinas and Es Cavallet are situated at the southernmost tip of the island and are both considered to be very popular and attractive with extensive stretches of crystal clear water and white sands.

                    Las Salinas Beach

Ibiza’s Las Salinas beach is one of the most iconic, with golden-white sand, pine and Sabina trees, and turquoise waters. Though Salines is a great place to relax and soak up the summer sun, there is also a lot of vibrant activity during the height of the season where you can expect a steady stream of party parades, ticket sellers, and beach merchants strolling along the sand and chatting with people throughout the day. A wide array of famous chiringuitos line the shores with Balearic beats and DJs playing regularly well into the late night. Las Salinas combines Ibiza’s glamour, nudism and a family-friendly atmosphere all rolled into one. The beach is especially good for adventure walks in the winter since the surrounding area is truly amazing!

                    Las Salinas beach Ibiza

                    Es Cavallet Beach

Es Cavallet is renowned for being one of the gay community’s favorite beaches and was one of the very first beaches in Spain to embrace nudism. Long and narrow, the beach has water that is transparent with pockets of seagrass meadows and sand that is white, all of which are perfectly surrounded by dunes that protect the area’s flora. Although Es Cavellet is still very crowded and lively during summer days, it may be considered to be ‘less party’ and ‘more sophisticated’ with a number of high-end beach bars and quality restaurants where you can eat, drink, and enjoy the views in an elegant setting.

Living in Ibiza: Es Cavallet beach in Las Salinas area

The A-list VIP & Celebrity Attraction

Las Salinas and Es Cavellet are extremely popular with the affluent, which makes it an ideal destination for the jet-setting crowd. At these hot spots you can expect to be brushing shoulders with a mixture of well-known celebrities, football players, models, and influencers who are all attracted to the fun party vibe and glamorous lifestyle that this island has to offer – however, as with most of Ibiza, you will still find people from all walks of life here, from Spanish families to hippy nudists – all drawn to these spectacular island jewels.

The Restaurant, Beach Clubs and Hot Spots in Las Salinas, Ibiza

Almost all of Ibiza’s top beach clubs, including the legendary Sa Trinxa, Jockey Club, Beso Beach, and El Chiringuito, are located in the area of Las Salinas and Es Cavellet, which are known for their gourmet food, attractive clientele, and great locations. There is always plenty of fun to be had at these beach bars and restaurants which are renowned for playing a quality selection of dance and Balearic music across the course of the summer, especially during the hotter months when the beach is frequented by international tourists.

                    Las Salinas Cultural Spots

If you fancy visiting some of the area’s historic cultural attractions then Sant Francesc is an eighteenth-century church originally intended for the salt workers, who could regularly attend services at this temple. The church, very simple but with a huge charm, is located directly next to the ponds. Immediately after you pass the church, you will come straight upon a silhouette of a man carrying a basket above his head. The bronze sculpture which has been signed by the sculptor Pedro Hormigo is a tribute to the Ibizan saliners.

Located just before the port of Sa Canal, is the Ship of the Salinera, a former ship of Ses Salines that stored salt before leaving the island. Just a few years ago, this space was sold to a collector, gallerist, and hotelier, Lio Malca, who also has projects in New York and Tulum, Mexico. It has since been transformed into a spectacular exhibition centre where modern art and all kinds of cultural events are held throughout the year.

                    Property in Las Salinas, Ibiza

Ibiza property buyers can find a unique niche in Las Salinas. Because of their proximity to these two stylish and renowned beaches. Las Salinas villas for sale are highly desirable among second-home buyers and therefore these are always in high demand. Ses Salines is an incredibly difficult place to buy property, especially due to the numerous restrictions imposed by the nature reserve and the protected area. As the area has a low level of properties available, the property value margin is understandably higher in comparison to the rest of San José.
